all must go!!!

"ALL MUST GO!!"

Reported by Missy Editor in Charge, Joanne Wong
Nov 19, 2006 Amcorp Mall Level 3 - all must go, all must sell...Leo Club of KLCC (Omega) held their 1st Jumble Sale of the year 2006..The responds was overwhelming from where i judged it from..

Previous year we managed to raised RM 636..

As one of our member Lee quoted " 10% growth very year is very normal.."

But this year..we had 30 % growth "applause, applause" Totally rocks! A toast to the organisin lady Michelle a.k.a Kiwi.. we raised RM 824.50 proceeds to club's project fund.
May not be a lot of $$$..but we sold the stuffs really cheap,,clothes were priced at RM 5, we even sold a fax machine and electronic typewriter at RM 10..
the funny remark..the statement made of the year by Kiwi " A big Thank You to Lee, who kept and is still keeping all the goods in his non-existent warehouse, and guided me throughout the project, even though you sold my MNG blouse for only RM2! Sorry Kiwi just had to quote that..so funny man...laugh till my stomach ache..
and also the part that you commented." Oh and thanks to Charles as well, for ffk-ing me. *grr* "
i am very sure audience will find you very entertaining and amazed with your remarks! *thumbs up!!*

Well we had load and loads of stuffs contributed
from the members (thanks to those who contributed)..

we had piles of clothes.good ones and not so good ones..and of course we had a good clothing sorter a.k.a Elaine Tham..
" This one is RM 5, this one i think it should be RM 10..man that's Armani must sell more, think RM 20"

thanks to all those who came and help..was great effort!

the strong ones..(or perhaps the box was just light, you know the "illusion misperception")

and of course just like any corners of Klang Valley, we have the pirated disc sellers..DVD seller (upgraded de no more VCD) seller..in our booth..

" Mr, this one new release..i assured you good quality, original quality, cheap cheap.."

and as a result of such act...
this is what happen
to the DVD seller a.k.a Ah Wong ..
caught and brought to justice..but thank you ah wong for the DVD and VCD..and guess what we had our booth just in front of the CINEMA!!!
what a brave Ah Wong..

perhaps love..love philosophy

"what is love?"

Love is patient, Love is kind,It does not envy, it does not boast,It is not proud, It is not rude,It is not self-seeking,It is not easily angered,It keeps no record of wrongs.Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.Love never ends.L o v e N e v e r F a i l s.

But many of times love fails us deeply, that it nearly scarred..or perhaps still is the unhealed wound..

Can you live up to loving someone? Can you really love somebody forever..like those cheezy tagline they used in movie "..for eternity..till death do us a apart"..Then again the word "I love you" has been said again and again..but did it mean something? Or was that just a gesture..a saying that you just used it so blindly without knowing what it meant..exploited and misused..

How can we love someone so much and yet simultaneously despite the things that they do, the way they do their hair, their unacceptable habits, the way the dresses..but yet the statement written bold that "i am so head over heels with this person"..Well there is a saying from Romeo & Juliet "My only love sprung from my only hate" or shall it be Def Leppard's song be " When love and hate collides"..

So here i am trying to bluffed my way through as the love philosopher..i may not be the guru but trust me i went through so much shit from relationships and break-ups, that i can wrapped the experience up and write a book...But of course thank God that with the strength, support and love from my friends and families it surely made me strong enough to endure some seriously shitty time..Felt so defeated back then in the name of love...

So where is my point? Well i came to realise that you aint know love and the big meaning to it till you experience the low and peak..Yea you can look up the dictionary and search for it and says "Ohh i know what it means.. " but is through experiences you learn..as painful as some of them can be..but you will eventually learn the big meaning..a person once told me when i broke up with my guy and was so despair to it..like i cant live another day..he ask me this"Do you know what is love? Love is about letting go everything, all expectations, is about accepting the person..as who he/she is, is about forgiving and forgetting all the wrong things.." So i eventually move on and realise that i wasn't ready to do so for my guy and it has not reach that ultimate peak to define that i truly "love" the guy..ooppss..yea..some of you would probably start guessing and thinking which guy is this..but my advise give up! It was a long long time ago..that i barely knew what was giving and accepting was. Yea was too selfish to even look at that..was a fool then..and perhaps a smaller fool now..

Remember that everyone goes through the ups and downs..at times the person you love might not love you back, or it could be someone that you will not see again..SO BE GLAD if you had the chance to love someone and get to be loved back..at least for that lil while..it may not be lasting but is the memories that will stayed in the heart..

"The biggest reward in life come from the biggest challenge..and you will be so guilty and should be shot dead to let a dead end relationship to linger way past the shelf life"..think about overdue can food and the result of engulfing the whole can food..Ewww gross..and a week of hospitalization..

So wake up,smell the fresh air..(imagination)..and how the world aint such a bad place to be just because some guy dump you last night, or some guy cheated you..be glad that is over and that you are living in the drama..is his bet, his lost..someday,somehow he would realise what an idiot he was..what a fool.In relationship, we bound to create fools out of ourself..like letting go someone special, taking one for granted, saying things that we don't mean....

hope the message here has been an inspiration and warmth the hearts of those broken souls..cos i was once a lost ould, wounded and crushed..but i survive and so will you...*hugs*

..to be continued

korean drama addiction

"Korean drama addiction.."

days after days, weeks after weeks and months after months..i would now officially declare myself being diagnosed with the "Korean drama fatal addiction"..100% Korean drama addiction psychotic..

wouldn't want to start calculating the hours that i literally spent couching and watching my Korean drama one after another disc...and trust me it can go on forever...thank god i had to get my butt off to work..
how did i end up becoming like that? Of course i do enjoy the times where i drool over the cute guys and how awesome their bodies is..and to be drown into the cuteness of the actresses ..awww so sweet..so cute..typical girl la..go check out Princess Hours (Goong), i am sure you will eventually fall for either one of the character. Guarantee assured!
Starring from left to right :
Song Ji-Hyo, Joo Ji Hoon, Yoon Eun-hye and Kim Jeong-hoon
A must watch drama despite the four of them being new in acting, they got really good songs too. The soundtrack is "awesome, rocks!"

Rating: 4 1/2 out of 5

Reckon that after so many months, i probably watched all the good ones of the Korean drama series...

The list (3 months archieve):-

  2. My Sassy Chun Hyang (extremely entertaining)

  15. Only you (must watch!)

  16. Fireworks

well..remember i started on the whole drama craze was in the mid of break-up recover. #01 cure to break-ups...well the fact that when i get home, showered,eaten..will throw myself on the couch and start the drama marathon till i get so tired and fall asleep eventually and wake up in the morning to go to work...and the routine goes on continously days after days and turned into months..soon it became a hobby..my past time leisure..as i watch the dramas, i completely shut off the brain system (no thinkin)..brain cracking..and once a while will pondered on the the storyline..how fortunate i am and how some people in their whole life never been loved and never had the chance to express their inner feelings, their inner voice..trapped within..struggling within themselves...so it does taught me bout the glimpses of life..not only that...i picked up another language and culture too..so it aint that bad...addiction follows with another addiction.what does that means? Well..the fact that i talk about it so much, people around became like me too..all drown into the drama..just that there is all the levels of addiction..me at the first degree suicidal addiction level..to them perhaps on the fourth level..so not so bad..well..my faithful followers are my very own sis in law as she gets to watch them after me without no rental charges..and then my pet-sis..whom i constantly talk to you.."you know what i just rented this new korean movie..and i will send her all the links and youtube of the drama"..yea i know *wicked*..and my friends..In fact i realized there is a huge group of girls out there drools over Korean drama, the hunks, the chicks, the settings, the story with a lil twist and turl unlike you predictable TVB soap operas..cant think of a reason to resist such temptations..

A LIVING TESTIMONY OF FRIENDSHIP

Living testimony of friendship
by joanne @ shookie

~A life without friends is like death without a witness~

A tribute to all my friends whom has walk the path with me, lifted my spirit when it was at its lowest, unlimited supply of encouragement,love,trust,patience,hope..thank you for walkin that extra miles with me despites the sun nor storms....

Friends are part of God’s great plan
Created in a way to brighten up our lives
Having a true friend is like finding treasures of heaven, for keep sake
Friends are like angles
Lift us up when our wings are broken
Hear us out when we are sad and despair
Laugh with us although our jokes aint funny
Believe in us before we believe in ourselves

A true friend see us the way we are and not what we ought to be
We can just be ourselves, no mask wore, no pretentious acts

Friends spark our lives with wonders
Creating miracles and inspires us to be greater than who we think we are
Without friends, we will not be who we are
Friends shapes us-to give, to share and to learn
All these cannot be taught by books or in classrooms

It is a lesson to be experienced
Truly unforgettable experiences, journeys to be savored and cherished!

love at first sight!

..it was like love at first sight..believe it or not..

saw it for the 1st time in singapore a month back during my work trip.

was getting myself the M1 prepaid sim card and stumbled across this sophisticated clamshell phone.."wowie thats a cool phone..omigosh such gorgeous looking all pearl white sitting in the glass shelf"..and as i glanced the price tag , the price were even more wow "SGD688"..thats about RM1600, was kinda outta of budget..damn!

so that was the 1st encounter with samsung e870.On and off i will still
go on the web to check out more about the phone and its price..
wishing and hoping the price will fall to my budget amount RM 1200..

it had pretty much all i needed..as tho it felt like lookin for a boyfriend..and fulfilling all the requirements.. thats why is like fallin in love..

do not be fooled by its plain simple looking design..the phone rocks!is a classic!weighing only at 85g.Dont be too quick too judged that it is just another nice looking phone and thats all it does..Beep!So totally wrong to think so..

why?

this slim light weighted phone offers internet browsing with the picsel viewer which allows viewing of MS word, excel, powerpoint,PDF as well as JPEG files. The other function of the TV out allows you to transfer your files to projector and display them on TV or PC.the phone also a multi-tasker as it allows you to access music files simultaneously while reading your sms ..and it comes with external memory card if you run out of the 80MB microSD internal memory.comes with camera built in with multishot function, self timer, white balance adjustment, 4x digital zoom..audio support on Mp3,WMA,ACC,AAC+,eAAC+ (basically the sound is as good as your sony ericson walkman series phones..as it uses the same software)..

after searching and browsin..i finally meet the one..destined to share a part of life..was in 1utama. was after dinner decided to just walk around and window shop on phones..due to its only 4 months launch no many places will have the model..and so happen to see it in one of the samsung shop..and enquired on the price..the guy told me RM 1180 plus 512MB microSD card..was so tempted..but resisted the temptations..went home..keep thinkin about it..

the next day, a friend of mine just had to go 1 utama to get some stuffs and had me tagged along...the temptation was too much to bear and finally i gave it after bargaining with the phone shop guy..it was reduced to RM1150..(hoorays..was within my budget)..reason to is drop in price because there were 5 samsung models launched at the sametime. This poor fella was launched together with the ultra slim version models..so due to the overshadowed fame and popularity of the ultra slim series, the e870 dropped in price.

so thats how the story goes on..me and my new samsung e870..the relationship begins..

well..for your info..the fallin in love was just an illustration..and yes..a big YES that i still normal girl who in favours of falling in love with guys and not gadgets..is just like how guys being so head over heels on cars but yet crazy and madly in love with chiqs!*winks*

mission#01 beth surprise party

surprise!!!

beth's surprise party @ 4 nov 2006 @ velvet kl

..it started off as a casual conversation with teong (beth's boyfriend) as he was askin me what plans do i have in mind to celebrate my good friend, his girlfriend..and lighted the idea of "lets do a surprise party for her"
so we spend the next few weeks planning and coordinatin with the rest of our friends and make sure the surprise idea does not leaked out to beth..trust me is not easy especially when we meet up so often over dinners and yum cha..
so we gathered her collegues from 3M, her high schools friends, college mates and uni friends whom are close to her to attend the surprise party..and hell tough when you hold a party in a club with so many people..we even had to smuggle in the birthday cake..as cakes are prohibited in the club..only outside at the terrace they allowed cake cutting.as they afraid their precious sofas and carpets gets stained and dirty off.but we managed to convince the management that we just gonna blow the cake, no cutting and no eating inside the club..so we managed to charm our way through more like my good friend got it figured out and settled *winks*

and i had to lie to her that i was flying off to jakarta that day..(the surprise day) so that she will not be suspicious over a single thing..
so that night the whole thing was a lil chaos in the start esp getting everyone to be there before her and bringin all of them in..total there were like 30 of us or more..crazy man..and of course she was brought out for a very nice dinner by teong and we had to keep updating and sms-ing each other on the status..and give him the green light to proceed and bring her to the club. teong: beth, a friend of mine is at velvet tonight and he ask us to join him..and the table was book under the gf's name joanna..and she bought the idea..
she came in to the club with her eyes closed and blinded, guided by teong..making her steps nearer to us and we were all prepare and ready with her yummy birthday ice cream cake..and she opnes her eyes..shocked and touched to see all of us..as we sang her the birthday song..she also receive this big bouquet of flowers her favourites-white lilies and geberras aka african daisies

she was stunted as she saw all of us..how the different groups of friends that she hang out with, some never meet each other and both parties was never introduce by her were all there that night..how we managed to find our ways to contact them..and got all of them there-her collegues, high school, college and uni mates..it was amazing and all of us got to know each other for the 1st time..but we sure had a good partying night..as we miggle and got to know her other friends better..

good one but is not gonna be anytime soon for me to throw another surprise or organizing an event such as this..takes a lot of effort and also time to coordinate..but for beth is worthy and no regrets..esp seeing her so happy that night..*toast to the birthday girl!*

charity@movie

finally kick start the engine for sharin' heart, sharin' hopes...

our very 1 st project under the initiation of sharin' hearts, sharin' hopes..charity @ movie .

Charity @ movie was held in cineplexes, cineleisure aka. the curve

Although it was a kids project, community service..we reckon it would be much

more eventful and memorable to have a fun + charity project.. a different way of doin things..

so we managed to speak to the movie distributor and the cinema management on the great "proposal" we have..and we managed to seek for a special early screening of "open season"-an animated action-adventure,follows the fortunes of two forest animal misfits..suprisingly the movie offers some mature references, including rude humor and mild violence but overall offers a great entertainment for the whole family, the 3 years old kid right up to perhaps your grandparents..

Oct 15, Sun was the day of the event. Before screening the movie, the management brought the orphans that we sponsored to the movie, total 35 of them from 3 homes (rumah sayangan, rumah gembira, rumah bakti)for a cinema tour (behind the projection room, block office, the confectionery area and the making of popcorn)..a total of 110 people was present for the movie. we had an extreme good turn out and response from the event.

After the movie, we (orphans+leo members) adjourned to McDonald's Mutiara Damansara for lunch doing.

It sure feels good to spend half the sunday doin community work in such a fun-filled and meaningful way!

Good one! and more to come...

the crews of the day!

sharin' hearts, sharin' hopes

Sharing hearts, sharing hopes”

~ So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half asleep even when they are busy doing things they think are important. This is because they’re chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into life is to devote yourself to your community around you and devote yourself to create something that gives you purpose and meaning~

Mitch Albom

Sharing hearts, sharing hopes is the theme that we give to this remarkable project of ours that focus on serving the community especially in the kids’ welfare and youth issues. The kids are our future, our world tomorrow. Instead of just praying and wishing they become better people, we can make a difference in their lives by putting together small efforts from everyone. A piece of puzzle will not complete the jigsaw, but with the thousand pieces it forms a beautiful finish art work of a jigsaw puzzle.

In Leo we are taught to serve, we pledged to extend our hands to help those in needs, pledged of our hearts reach for it and it will be touch, pledged of our ears to hear another outcry, pledged of our eyes to see the plights of others, pledged of oneself to bring another man closer to his dreams and pledged for the betterment of our community and country.

We hope by initiating projects under this umbrella of sharing heart, sharing hopes, we can make greater awareness to people the true meaning of giving, sharing and caring. So share your hearts today so that we can share the hopes of these little ones and uplift their dreams!

walls' hidup biar sedap!

well..the good ole days at wall's ice cream ..to most people who doesn't know, wall's is actually a division in Unilever.

"Wall's is the world's largest and oldest ice cream maker with 100 years of history, and 40 years in Malaysia.Wall's is known globally over 40 countries of its operations"

Had the opportunity to see the glimpse of wall's,fun-filled despites the crazy workin hours and stressful yet challenging tasks and missions in wall's.

One amazing fact about ice cream is that is official ice cream makes you happy..that explains the extra kilos that i put on while workin the one year in wall's.no regrets to it..after all i had all that yummy magnum's,split lime, minis..and the list goes on..the great part and most evil temptation in wall's is that we had two wall's freezerz in our pantry..yups the ones that you see in the grocery shops,kiosks,petromarts...and being the staff we treat ourself pretty well by picking up a stick ofice cream as and when we feel like it..most of the time is when i get really stressed out, too hungry or out of boredom(which seldom happens)..you'll see me being near the freezer.

oh yea..we were talking about ice cream makes ya happy..a recent study was done by Unilever at London Institute of Psychiatry's Centre of Neuro-imaging Sciences. When you eat ice cream, it lights up teh brain's pleasure zones. It bring a smile to the happy areas of the brain!so that i've been a preacher on that fact since i got to know it..and still a strong believer in that!

had a good one year of experiences ..goods and not so good ones..one of which was our incentive trip to KOREA!ann yeong ha se yo..we had so much fun for the 4 days of the all paid for trip.

dressed in the korean cultural costumes

the fighting spirit of wall's (kando!)

well..apart from that, never forget those sales meetings trips-malacca,ipoh..where we would recruit new wall's outlets or convert the nestle's outlets into wall's(that spells victory for us havin nestle being our closest competitor)..where we will have sleepless nights before that to rush up our presentations and reports..unforgettable ones..

being wall's has taught me much..to have that fighting spirit, to be passionate each day of what i am doing (one of which was the kid's projects and portfolios) which i think where i placed my heart strongly on.About kid's tomorrow. In fact i did so many pitching to all the kids centers and edutaiment centres with having the idea of kids' with wall's.One of which we managed to kick nestle outta the place and signed an exclusivity with the center.hoorays!

surely was good to be there and stayed for a while there.. had a really insightful mentor @ boss whom is the business dir of wall's malaysia.under him i believe i have gained quite a fair bit..
so..let live up to the tag of wall's "hidup biar sedap !"

the big big family of wall's
